Second Joint Conference of the British HIV Association (BHIVA) with the British Association for Sexual Health and HIV (BASHH)

Description
Following the success of the first Joint BHIVA/BASHH Conference held in Dublin in 2005, BHIVA and BASHH will be holding their second joint conference. Key conference topics include the top ten papers in 2009–2010;
new STD tests and screening; new methods for monitoring viral load and CD4 count in resource-poor countries; HIV and swine flu; HPV vaccination; breast-feeding; alcohol and STIs; eradication of HIV: two steps forward, one step back; long-term toxicities and HIV; and new perspectives on treatment: PI monothera.

Instructions for the preparation of abstracts will be published in November, and these will be
available for review on each Association’s Web site and in the First Announcement. All delegates who
wish to present abstracts will need to register for the conference. Abstract submission deadline is January 22, 2010. Registration rates and details will be available in November 2009 at both www.bhiva.org and www.bashh.org.
