This web-based seminar is intended to discuss the typical presentation of TB patients in the emergency department and outline the steps necessary to reduce missed opportunities for appropriate diagnosis and treatment. The seminar will also discuss infection control measures in emergency department settings.

The conference is free; however, there is a $10 charge per person for Continuing Education Credits. Participants must have Internet access (high-speed preferred), a speaker phone, and an E-mail address to receive course information. There is no limit to the number of participants at one site, but sites must identify a contact person to receive information, and collect and submit evaluation forms and a sign-in sheet. Registration priority for these courses is given to participants from the Northeastern Region, including Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, and the cities of Baltimore, Detroit, New York, and Philadelphia.
