The goal and objectives of the program is to focus on key program areas in India in alignment with the Government of India’s National AIDS Control Program (Phase IV), and they include (1) providing technical assistance to NACO to build capacity at national, State, and district levels on evidence-based strategic planning, situational analysis, assessments, program implementation and monitoring under NACP IV; (2) providing technical assistance to NACO and partners to support laboratory strengthening initiatives focusing on assessments and building capacities of public and private sector labs through consultant support (both short and long-term); (3) providing technical assistance to the national program implementation units (NACO, State AIDS Control Societies (SACSs) and District AIDS Prevention and Control Units (DAPCUs) on institutional strengthening and program management, such as capacity development, mentoring, and periodic field level monitoring; and (4) collaborating and assisting NACO in strengthening the Strategic Information Management Systems (SIMS) at national, State and district (Surveillance, M&E, data for decision making).
The proposed FOA outcomes will provide technical assistance to NACO to build capacity at national, State and district levels on evidence-based strategic planning, program implementation, and monitoring under NACP IV. The key outcomes will enable the national program to strengthen the capacities of program implementation units in reaching out to the key populations (Sex workers, MSM, and IDU) and vulnerable groups and in providing quality HIV services, including prevention, care, support, and treatment to PLHIV at national, state, and district levels
The purpose of this FOA is to expand and strengthen technical assistance and collaboration with the National AIDS Control Program (NACP) to achieve the goal of accelerating the reversal of HIV epidemic and integration of response at national, state, and district levels.
